Oak City Indie Games is a Durham, North Carolina-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting independent game developers and artists within the North Carolina region.

We host the annual Oak City Indie Games Showcase, a vibrant event celebrating local talent and fostering a collaborative community.

Our mission is to educate the public about the creative process of game development, to create and appreciate games as an art form, and to provide crucial support to independent creators, particularly marginalized and neurodivergent artists. We also broaden our scope to include interactive art, simulations, and other playful creations.

Oak City Indie Games is organized and run by volunteers, and we are currently awaiting 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
