Trilogy: An Opera Company is a dedicated performing arts organization based in Newark, New Jersey, committed to showcasing the works of Black composers and exploring themes relevant to the Black experience.

Founded in 2003, Trilogy: An Opera Company presents powerful operatic performances that address significant historical and social issues, particularly the tragic story of Emmett Till and the ongoing struggle for racial justice in America.

We achieve this through commissioning new works from talented composers and poets, and by offering educational programs like the Gold Chair mentoring program, which nurtures young artists and fosters a deeper understanding of the arts. Our commitment is to create dialogue and healing within our community and beyond.
