We worked as frontend and mobile team on the project that has spanned over the course of 1.5 years up to now. At the very beginning, the focus was on writing a React-based web app that would also work on the desktop (MacOS, Linux, and Windows). In the light of this, we've learned to work with an Electron wrapper. The nature of the app requires usage of a local database, so we've also learned to combine React first with IndexedDB and later, with SQLite after our focus has shifted to desktop completely. After a while, a decision was made by the business owners to only work on the cross-platform mobile app, so we joined another React Native developer and together we have been working on the mobile app for about a year now. In the course of the project, we have worked on the following features: - saving to and accessing files from iCloud & Google Drive, - tapping into the user's location, - localizing the app for multiple languages, - KYC verification, push notifications, and more.
