Alcohol Evaluation | Alamo Center

Service description
The SASSI-4 is a clinically developed screening tool used to help identify whether a person may have a substance use disorder or a high probability of substance dependence.
Unlike many questionnaires that simply ask direct questions like “Do you drink too much?” or “Do you use drugs often?”, the SASSI-4 is designed to detect substance dependency even when someone may minimize, deny, or not fully recognize the extent of a problem.
It combines:
Direct questions about alcohol and drug use
Indirect or “subtle” questions that measure attitudes, behaviors, defensiveness, and patterns commonly associated with substance misuse
