The Scrap Exchange is a Durham, North Carolina-based nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse since 1991.

As a Creative Reuse Center, we operate a thrift store and gallery, offering a unique space for artists and the community to access affordable materials and explore their creative potential.

We provide a diverse range of resources, including a volunteer program, artist market, and educational workshops, all centered around the principles of sustainability and resourceful living.

The Scrap Exchange’s mission is to reduce waste and promote a circular economy, making a tangible difference in our community and beyond. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax deductible.
