Israeli Krav Maga Association - Alaska is an Anchorage, Alaska-based martial arts academy specializing in the authentic Israeli Krav Maga Gidon System. We provide comprehensive self-defense training for adults and children, fostering confidence and practical skills. Our approach centers on building a strong, respectful community and equipping students with the tools to protect themselves in real-world situations. We offer a dynamic and evolving system, rooted in utilitarian movement and instinctive response, adapted from the Israeli government’s military and law enforcement training regimen. Krav Maga emphasizes continuous combat motion, utilizing a wide range of techniques, from simple defenses to advanced disarms, including empty-handed defenses and disarms against bladed weapons, firearms, and improvised weapons. Founded by Imi Lichtenfeld, the system prioritizes effectiveness and adaptability, preparing individuals to react decisively in any threat.

Our training programs cater to diverse skill levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, encompassing juniors, teens, adults, families, and professionals. We offer private lessons, group classes, and on-demand training, alongside specialized workshops like the L.A.C.E. Women’s Workshop.
