Iowa Geographic Information Council

The Iowa Geographic Information Council (IGIC) is dedicated to fostering an efficient GIS environment through cooperation and coordination with public and private entities in Iowa. We provide access, collect, provide, and share data, metadata, applications, and educational opportunities to support geospatial excellence across the state. IGIC’s vision is for geospatial technologies to effectively deliver services and address critical issues for Iowa’s citizens. We serve a diverse community of government, academic, private, and non-profit organizations, all working together to develop and maintain shared geospatial resources. As a non-profit organization, IGIC plays a vital role in promoting GIS awareness and adoption throughout Iowa, ensuring its continued growth and impact.
