The passion for citrus fruits has always accompanied our long history since 1922, the year in which Francesco Misitano di Lorenzo and Francesco Stracuzzi di Rosario, owners of two homonymous citrus processing companies in the province of Messina, in splendid Sicily, meet for the first time. Our history begins in 1971 with Gino Girolomoni, young Mayor of the municipality of Isola del Piano, who starts promoting initiatives aimed at exploiting and supporting ancient farming culture. These first experiences are the founding blocks for the birth, on July 13 1977, of the Agricultural Co-op. Following the death of its founder in March 2012, the Mutual Company changes its name to Gino Girolomoni Agricultural Co-op. With its 30 shareholders and more than 70 employees and with more than 18 million euros of turnover (in 2024), the Mutual Company Gino Girolomoni has substantially contributed to develop organic farming in Italy. Our core business is the production of organic pasta, made in our cooperatively owned factory that produces exclusively certified organic goods. We grow the grain, we mill our own grain and we produce pasta with our own semolina. Prime raw materials of Italian origin, water from a spring with no industrial activities upstream and a slow and patient drying process are the key ingredients. We use 100% energy from renewable sources and 100% paper packaging, fully sustainable. Our project was born in Abruzzo in the small town of Ortona in 1994 by 3 partners Filippo, Valentino and Camillo also called "the three dreamers" since they were able to realize a dream that seemed impossible: creating a company that was flagship of Southern Italy without owning financial capitals and owned vineyards but with a highly innovative business model. The meticulous attention to details, the targeted marketing strategies for each individual product, and oenological proposals appreciated in over 80 countries around the world confirm the Fantini Group as the largest «Boutique Winery» in Italy, true protagonist of the wine rebirth of Southern Italy. Year after year the desire to always accept new challenges by looking to the future and to guarantee the highest quality of the grapes has allowed us to extend our presence in other regions. Today Fantini Group is present in 6 regions: Abruzzo, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Sicily and Tuscany. The key to the success of a starred restaurant is not only the high quality of the ingredients but the ability of the chef to transform those ingredients into unique and inimitable dishes. The philosophy of Fantini Group is exactly the same, the very high quality of the grapes is enhanced by the excellent skills of a team of 20 talented young winemakers and agronomists, led by two internationally renowned consultants who constantly dedicate their work to the care of each production phase. For three generations we have been working and transforming cow's milk from our land, Apulia, to create crafted dairy products. We spread the authentic flavours of fresh and aged cheese in Italy and all over the world, in respect of Apulian dairy tradition and short supply chain. In our factory, high-technology systems combine with master cheesemakers' manual skills, capable of modelling and weaving, one by one, our delicacies. Mozzarella, stracciatella, burrata, caciocavallo and provolone: authenticity and quality are the values that distinguish us and our production. Also, we took the path of gastronomic innovation by exploring new levels of taste and reinterpreting typical Apulian products hastily. For example, we invented the smoked burrata, and the gourmet one, with truffles or chives aromas. We export our products over 20 foreign markets, and we want to grow further to spread IGNALAT dairy products to consumers' tables, labelled with BRC, IFS, and ISO 9001 quality certification.

With owned vineyards and olive groves in all 4 provinces of Abruzzo, Masciarelli is the largest privately owned winery for vineyards extension of the region. Our over 60 particles of vineyards - ensuring extraordinary biodiversity to the production - are grown based on the higher standard of quality: high density, vendeange parcellaire, low yields and hand picking. The winery nowadays produces 2.5M bottles per year, all from proprietary grapes, and distributes 14 wines and liquors labels from the best European winemaking areas. Present in over 55 countries, with a 52% yearly turnover coming from abroad, Masciarelli is the symbol of high-end Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine in the world. Gianni Masciarelli, a pioneer of modern private winemaking in Abruzzo, began in the late 70ies a thorough renewal of the oenological practices that led to the gradual affirmation of the region as a unique wine-production area. Thanks to his tireless job, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Villa Gemma became the first Montepulciano ever to be awarded Gambero Rosso Best Italian Wine in 2000, while in 2004 the company became Best Winery of the Year. Masciarelli Tenute Agricole also endorses the value of hospitality and wine-tourism. With the acquisition in 2004 and long restoration of Castello di Semivicoli (www.castellodisemivicoli.it), an astonishing seventeenth century wine resort surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Masciarelli hosts unique cultural experiences, as gastronomic, theatrical and musical shows, local cuisine courses, charity dinners and private events that allow guests from all over the world to enjoy the authentic Abruzzo slow life.
