Nanomik, develops & produces microencapsulated biopesticides for food and agricultural products that protects them against food spoilage without changing their quality. Today whole World suffers from the food waste. Approximately 30% of fresh fruits and vegetables are lost before coming to the stall. Economic impact of mentioned losses is beyond 1.3 Billion $ annually. In traditional preservation, very harmful chemicals and their synthetic derivatives are used for protection; however, their usage is limited because of their negative effects to the human. Amounts allowed for usage are not sufficient for the long-term protection. These chemicals and harmful microorganism toxins are the main problems for the export of agricultural products because of their harmful effects to human and nature. Our company Nanomik aims to show that all food and agricultural products can be protected naturally without harmful chemicals and food waste can be decreased to the minimal levels. Mainly, the World with more natural products and healthy foods is aimed by Nanomik!

Our mission is to help life sciences companies accelerate drug development for improved patient outcomes, and we do this by championing the power of data. Our main product DISQOVER is an optimized search or knowledge platform which draws on semantic technology and an ontology-based knowledge graph to find links between data across databases (internal data, public data and third party data) faster and more efficiently. The platform has been developed for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. There are thousands of health research databases, clinical trials, literature reviews, patient studies, etc. available. Before setting up a new study, scientists first need to check what kind of research has already been done – both internally and externally – on, for instance, growth hormone applications for a particular disease. In many companies, even internal information resides in hundreds of different databases, each with their own interface and search logic. As a consequence, just finding this kind of background information is a very time-consuming process. This is where DISQOVER comes in. One of the assets is that we use semantic technology to find logical but often hidden connections between internal and external data, allowing you to easily combine information from a multitude of different sources. As such, pharma and biotech companies can save valuable time and money that they can now invest in developing new medicines or treatments. Customers include: AstraZeneca, AmGen, Medidata, Prinses Máxima Institute, Aelin Therapeutics and more. DISQOVER is used amongst others by scientific researchers, bioinformaticians, and data scientists. PathoQuest helps biopharmaceutical developers and manufacturers get their therapies to market with our leading expertise in GMP NGS-based biosafety testing and characterization services. As innovator companies continue to bring exciting novel therapies to market, there is a critical need for alternative biosafety and characterization strategies. This is especially the case for life-changing cell and gene therapies, as well as novel viral vaccines. Classical testing approaches, such as cell based assays, are often challenging to implement due to high volume requirements, as well as compatibility issues. Biosafety testing and characterization are key regulatory requirements for the release of biologic therapies. Therefore, alternative methods which can address these issues are of intense interest. There is also a drive from across industry and regulators to reduce, and eventually eliminate the use of animal models used in biosafety testing. The genomic approach of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) can solve many of the challenges that are faced by developers and manufacturers, such as lower volume requirements and incompatibility with cell-based assays From our origins within the Institut Pasteur, PathoQuest is leading the way in expertise for the provision of GMP NGS based biosafety testing. Our expertise is underlined with over 20 peer reviewed publications on NGS applications in biosafety testing; as well as active participation in industry groups such as PDA, ADVTIG, CAACB and EFPIA. PathoQuest are committed to bringing this game-changing genomic approach to biopharmaceutical developers and manufacturers. PathoQuest has a global footprint, with operations in Europe (Paris) and North America (Wayne, PA); and have provided NGS biosafety testing services to over 100 of the top biopharmaceutical companies globally. Our company has the purpose of bridging the gap between insects & food companies so we can create the future of food Now! “We believe in a greener and healthier future, and we know is possible by changing the base of production without waiting for consumer behavior to change. There is an urgent need for better, safer and more sustainable sources of food ingredients and materials for the food industry. We can do this using biotechnology & data science to unlock the potential of insects as ingredients, biomaterials & many more to be discovered.” Alejandro Ortega, CEO & Founder Daniela Arias, COO & Founder Inspired by their culture Daniela and Alejandro named the company after the primary deity in the Talamancan mythology of Costa Rica, is the creator of Earth and humanity, god of wisdom and taught the values using natural resources in a responsible way and with harmony. We help insect ingredient manufacturers meeting the requirements of food companies & food brands, which requires improving the qualify and functionality of their current materials using new and innovative process optimization technologies we develop. Together with this we focus on accelerating the innovation & development using data science for targeted ingredient discovery, to create clean, efficient, and sustainable insect-based bio-active components including protein, fats and chitosan, as highly functional food ingredients for food manufacturers. And we can do it thanks to our unique green Isolation technology called Entowise®, which unlocks the potential of insect-bioactive components and improves the application of these materials as ingredients for food production. The Entowise® technology helps insect manufacturers to develop high value added and easy to use ingredients for food manufactures. Our technology and approach help food manufacturer reduce CO2 emissions up to 95% compared with current alternatives, while also improve the health of their end consumer
