ERRVA represents the Owners and Operators of Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels (ERRVs) operating within the UK Continental Shelf. UK legislation mandates that companies responsible for the safety of offshore installation workers (known as Duty Holders) must ensure a "good prospect of recovery and rescue" and safe transfer to a "place of safety" for individuals who may find themselves in the sea, in all but exceptional weather conditions. ERRVA member vessels are contracted by Duty Holders to deliver the recovery and rescue services required by these laws. Our vessels and crews are specially equipped and trained to perform marine recovery and rescue operations for survivors from lifeboats, life-rafts, or directly from the sea.
