Village of Wisdom is a Durham, North Carolina-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black families and fostering Black Genius.

We work to affirm, protect, and care for Black and Brown children by building the knowledge, community, and power they need to thrive.

Village of Wisdom’s approach centers on community-led research, ancestral healing practices, and a strength-based approach, recognizing the inherent genius within every Black person. We provide resources and programs for parents, educators, and creatives, fostering a culture of radical care and dreaming as an act of liberation.

Founded in 2014, Village of Wisdom has grown to serve a diverse community of Black families and educators, impacting thousands of children through its innovative programs and resources.
