Out of the Garden Project is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based nonprofit dedicated to combating food insecurity and supporting families in the Triad region.

We operate a vital food warehouse and mobile market, providing fresh, nutritious food directly to families in need. Through our Fresh Mobile Market and weekly food drives, we ensure consistent access to high-quality options, reaching approximately 1,900 students and their families each Friday via Operation Backpack.

Our strength lies in the dedication of our 400-600 monthly volunteers, who tirelessly sort donated food and pack meal bags, providing each family with 6-8 pounds of non-perishable items – enough to sustain them for two meals. Out of the Garden Project is committed to ensuring children are well-fed and ready to learn.

Founded in 2010, we serve the community through collaborative partnerships and a steadfast commitment to nourishing families and fostering thriving communities.
