Spectrum Technologies has been at the forefront of laser wire processing technology for over 35 years; developing and applying leading edge technology to provide solutions to problems in advanced manufacturing, and pioneering the use of laser technology to solve a range of issues. Established in 1989 as a spin out from BAE Systems’ Advanced Technology Centre, Spectrum was the pioneer behind the commercialisation of UV laser wire marking technology within the aerospace industry. The UV laser marking process is now the global industry standard for the identification of aerospace wire and cable. Following the original development of laser wire stripping by NASA in 1979, laser wire stripping was actually commercialised and developed further by Spectrum Technologies also. Spectrum has since become the world leader in the design and manufacture of specialised, laser-based industrial wire processing equipment for use in the manufacture of complex wire harnesses and wiring assemblies found in aerospace, defence, rail, automotive, medical and critical industries. Today the company employs around 72 staff worldwide with sales and service offices in Texas, USA and Shanghai, China, and is represented in over 25 countries. Skyrora is a UK launch vehicle provider aiming to provide flexible sovereign launch capabilities to the UK through the development of an orbital vehicle and carefully selected supply chain innovations that we believe will reinforce the industry for years to come. Skyrora’s strategy is to take an incremental ‘step-by-step’ approach to launch to allow for critical testing and de-risking. We utilise proven technology in combination with advanced additive manufacturing methods, taking significant inspiration from previous UK space heritage, sharing the same propellant combination as Black Arrow and utilising learnings from Skylark for our suborbital test programme. As part of this approach, we have developed four suborbital rockets in order to perform real-time testing of the avionics, ground control systems, payload deployment and recovery systems of the vehicles in parallel with the development of our orbital rocket. Skyrora’s four suborbital rockets ascend from Skylark Nano, through to Skylark Micro, SkyHy and finally to Skylark-L. Most recently, Skyrora attempted to launch Skylark L in October 2022 from Iceland. Our orbital vehicle, Skyrora XL consists of 3 stages with a re-ignitable maneuverable third stage allowing for the specific placement of satellites in orbit. Skyrora XL will be able to carry 315kg of weight up to 500km high.

Frequently asked questions

Updated 23 October 2026

What is Enterprise League?

Enterprise League is a free business directory that helps buyers find the right company by sector and country. Every company has a profile showing what it does, what it offers and how to get in touch.

Is it free to list my company?

Yes, and it stays free: no card, no paid tier. Your profile appears in search results and category pages, can show up to 20 products and services, and lets buyers message you or ask for a quote.

How does verification work, and what does it cost?

Verifying your company is free. Confirm a code we email to an address at your company’s website, or send a company registration document for our team to check, and the verified badge appears on your profile. To show the badge in the directory and search results as well, take out a subscription: the first 14 days are free, and the price is on our pricing page.

Where does the company information come from?

Most profiles are built from public sources, such as official company registers. Claim your company’s profile to correct its details and add your own.

How do I claim or correct my company’s profile?

Open your company’s profile and choose Claim Profile. If you use an email address at your company’s website, a 6-digit code makes the profile yours at once; otherwise our team reviews your request, usually within a few days. Spotted a mistake on a company that isn’t yours? Tell us through our contact page.
