NICO LAZARIDI is widely recognized as one of the leading companies that have contributed most to the creation of a whole winemaking area: Drama, Greece. With love and respect for the wine and through the efforts of the company's people since 1987, the richness of the Drama vineyard is promoted and its potential has expanded. The headquarters of the company since 1997 are situeted at the CHATEAU NICO LAZARIDI winery in the local community Agora of the Prefecture of Drama. CHATEAU NICO LAZARIDI Winery produces wines with Protected Geographical Indication of Drama and Agora: the wine "families" Perpetuus, Magic Mountain, Cavalieri Lazaridi, Château Nico Lazaridi, the red dry wine F-eὖ, the roasted natural sweet Melissourgos wine and the white and rose semi-bubbly wine Solitaire. With the aim of exploiting the products of the wider Macedonian land and the creation of modern quality wines, in 2000 the MACKEDON winery was builded in the municipal district of Platanotopos, on the outskirts of Mount Paggaion, in the Prefecture of Drama. Here we produce more modern wines, under the Protected Geographical Indication "Paggaio"​ and "Macedonia": the family Lion D'Or, the Black Sheep, Queen and King of Hearts

Το 1948 ιδρύθηκε στον Πλάτανο ένας μικρός φούρνος από τον Χαρίτο Τσατσαρωνάκη, ο οποίος έδωσε την εμπορική ονομασία «το Μάννα» στην επιχείρηση. Τα πρώτα χρόνια η επιχείρηση αυτή κάλυπτε τις ανάγκες του Πλατάνου και των γύρω χωριών σε ψωμί, μέχρι που μπήκαν στην επιχείρηση ο γιος του Νίκος, με την γυναίκα του Μαρία οι οποίοι είχαν και την ιδέα της παραγωγής του κριθαρένιου παξιμαδιού. Ξεκίνησαν το 1963 την πώληση παξιμαδιών στα Χανιά και μετά ακολούθησε και η Αθήνα. Το στοίχημα αυτής της μεγάλης προσπάθειας της δεκαετίας του '60, ήταν να γνωρίσει ο κόσμος τη διατροφική αξία του κρητικού παξιμαδιού. Η επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου έφερε αύξηση πωλήσεων και κατά συνέπεια της επιχείρησης, η οποία μετά από τέσσερις διαδοχικές επεκτάσεις μετέτρεψε τις παραγωγικές εγκαταστάσεις σε μία μεγάλη μονάδα παραγωγής αρτοσκευασμάτων όπου παράγονται 53 διαφορετικά προϊόντα. The history of the Lafazanis Winery began 70 years ago, in 1946, when Vasilis Lafazanis started crafting wine in Piraeus. In 1960, the Lafazanis family established its first privately-owned winery in Magoula, Attica. In 1985, the family’s second generation, with its academic education on oenology, its experience, and its vision, laid the foundations for a high-quality, state-of-the-art winery. Ever since that time, armed with its implicit faith in the fruits of Greek viticulture, the Lafazanis Winery works seamlessly to cultivate grape varieties native to Greece and produce superb quality wines. In 1993, faithfully keeping to that perspective, Spyros Lafazanis took the initiative to establish an even more advanced winery in the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Nemea zone. By showcasing Agiorgitiko and many other domestic and international grape varieties, Spyros Lafazanis crafted new wines of exquisite quality that reflect the company’s flawless know-how and the region’s enormous potential for top quality. In 2005, in order to achieve a more seamless operation, the company decided to separate its commercial activities from its winemaking pursuits and move its commercial sector to Magoula, Attica, under the management of Georgios Lafazanis. The company’s winegrowing and winemaking sector remained in Nemea. For a variety of reasons, in 2008, the company’s two sectors went their separate ways. Spyros Lafazanis remained at the Nemea winery and continued perfecting it. In 2012, the winery began production of pomace distillates with the emphasis placed on tsipouro crafted from pomace originating in the Peloponnese’s most celebrated grape varieties. During that same year, a warehouse and distribution center opened its doors in Elefsina, Attica, to offer customers improved turnaround times and facilitate its distribution activities throughout Greece.
