Makedonida Marbles started quarrying in 1984 in Veria, 75 Km west of Thessaloniki, the famous Green Marble of Veria, known also as Verde Antico, Naousa Green or Aliakmon Green. In the beginning of 2001, the company invested in new quarry and started quarrying the White Marble of Veria, which Is promoted as “Misty White” when cross cut and “White Wood” when vein cut. 2016 is going to be a great year for this quarry!

PHEIDIAS aims to bring into the market an innovative hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) from Spent Vehicle Catalytic Converters (SVCCs). This technology offers an increased material recovery rate and significantly lower operational costs, as the recovery rates of PGMs from SVCCs, namely Platinum (Pt), Palladium (Pd), and Rhodium (Rd), have already reached ~98%, ~98% and ~60% respectively. This novel process requires significantly less energy loads than the pyro-metallurgical processes mostly employed in the ESEE region. Furthermore, waste management performance is improved, as this innovatory technology uses solvents in lower concentrations.
The project will focus on the markets of Greece, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Cyprus, and Serbia, where project partners have already developed a network of SVCCs suppliers through their previous collaboration in the INNOCAT and INNOCAT-up projects. To that end, partners will upscale and pilot-test the proposed technology at large-scale operation conditions, bringing it from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5 to TRL 8 during the project, commercialising it within one year after project completion (TRL 9), in 2023.

A Fapricela - Indústria de Trefilaria, S.A., empresa de cariz familiar, fundada em 1977, iniciou a sua actividade vocacionada essencialmente para o fabrico de prego de construção.
Com o decorrer dos anos e aliada à sua progressiva valorização foram sendo integrados na sua actividade novos produtos resultantes das mutáveis exigências do mercado: redes; arames; redes electrossoldadas; arame e cordão de aço para pré e pós-esforço de baixa relaxação e arames para molas.
De facto, no seu percurso evolutivo, esta empresa pautou sempre a sua actividade pela qualidade dos produtos, pelo investimento continuo, apostando na conjugação entre inovação e alta tecnologia (automação do equipamento) e, ainda, num controlo sistemático de qualidade, coordenadas estas que lhe permitem actualmente a assumpção como uma das maiores Trefilarias da Europa, com uma produção dirigida aos mercados interno e externo, e com um volume de facturação que ronda os 100.000.000€, por contraposição aos 9.980€ facturados no ano de 1977.
No decurso deste espírito empreendedor e ainda com o intuito de expandir a sua gama de produtos, o Grupo Fapricela Indústria, adquiriu em Junho de 2007 a empresa Ibermetais, S.A., sita em Freamunde - Paços de Ferreira, indústria de trefilagem que vocaciona a sua actividade para os arames macios.

Recently created, Adla is the result of years of experience in the aluminium manufacturing and transformation industry. Adla headquarters are currently under deployment at the Zona Industrial da Lameira, Celorico de Basto, Portugal, where the main production facility will also be installed. Adla core is all about aluminium, from extrusion, anodizing and powder coating, thermal break and developing solutions for application in architecture and industry.
The undergoing installation will be equipped with one extrusion press with 2.5Ktons of pressure, the ability to extrude up to 800 tons per month with sizes up to 320mm by 20mm and up to 25 Kg per meter puts this press in a class by itself.

Fundada em 1 de Abril de 1989 por Manuel Pinto Canedo a Metalúrgica de Lourosa marca a sua presença no setor metalomecânico através da especialização em fundição de alumínio, anodização de alumínio e lacagem de alumínio e ferro. Tendo iniciado a sua marca no ramo da construção, mercado no qual oferece uma vasta gama de peças que podem ser vistas no catalogo da empresa, é num mercado mais técnico e exigente que tem mostrado o seu valor com destaque para as áreas energética e automóvel.
O trabalho realizado pela ML está dividido em 3 fases:
1. Estudo e prototipagem - A ML possui uma secção especializada em desenho técnico e prototipagem para o desenvolvimento de novos produtos.
2. Fabrico - Dependendo de alguns fatores como quantidade e acabamento final desejado o fabrico pode ser em fundição de aluminío por gravidade em coquila ou areia.
3. Acabamento - O cliente tem ao seu dispor serviço de anodização para alumínio com acabamento acetinado ou polimento quimico e ainda serviço de Lacagem para alumínio ou ferro em todas as cores RAL. A estufa de lacagem possui as dimensões de 3500x1000x2200mm (CxLxA).

FAB - Aluminum Foundry of Braga is a specialist in casting and machining of aluminum parts from 20gr up to 400 kg, trough the moulding methods Gravity Chemical sand casting and Gravity Die Casting.
FAB reestablished the foundry activity of the old company ALBRA and developed a modern business project, mostly oriented to external markets and based on differentiated products of added value. FAB uses modern production technologies, leveraging the knowledge of decades.
