Il progetto Tappost® (www.luigimasecchia.it), nasce nel 2013 da un’idea di Luigi Masecchia, creativo napoletano e si basa sul riutilizzo dei tappi di metallo a corona per realizzare opere dal forte impatto visivo. Non solo quadri ma anche sculture e oggetti di design, realizzati nel rispetto dei principi dell’upcycling, in cui il materiale recuperato viene riusato dandogli una diversa connotazione. Il Progetto annovera oggi circa 53 opere tra quadri, sculture e oggetti di design tutti realizzati con materiali riciclati. I tappi dunque protagonisti assoluti di questa collezione, perdono la loro identità, e diventano tessere di un mosaico infinito che trovano la loro espressione nelle opere realizzate dall’artista, a cui continuamente si aggiungono “nuove tessere”, che i saperi personali e le esperienze specifiche dell’artista trasformano in opere uniche ed irripetibili. Nel progetto Tappo’st® i tappi non sono più elementi che consentono la chiusura ermetica delle bottiglie ma sono la materia ispiratrice di cui si serve l’artista per realizzare il suo estro. Ci piace pensare che un simile progetto parta da Napoli, la città messa in ginocchio troppe volte dall’emergenza rifiuti, resa da Tappo’st® città-pilota in cui sono stati finora raccolti e riutilizzati circa 2.800.000 tappi, attraverso il convolgimento di circa 118 persone provenienti da categorie socialmente svantaggiate. Attualmente Tappo’st® comprende: - Corsi di formazione nelle scuole; - Laboratori di riciclo per bambini, giovani e adulti; - Realizzazione ed esposizione di quadri, sculture e oggetti d’arredo; - Eventi di sensibilizzazione ambientale.

La Andrea Nuovo Home Gallery nasce nel 2018, con la chiara volontà di dedicare lo spazio alla promozione dell’arte contemporanea ed in parallello di svolgere una permanente attività di ricerca nel campo specifico, proponendo artisti nazionali ed internazionali. In parte residenza, in gran parte luogo espositivo, si trova all’interno di palazzo Carafa di Noja (1675) sulla collina di Pizzofalcone. Uno spazio intimo ma allo stesso tempo concepito per essere vissuto e visitato. Suddiviso su due livelli, ognuno con la propria personalità e valenza, ma tra loro interconnessi. Il piano superiore si affaccia su un meraviglioso giardino pensile. …si propone di esplorare ogni espressione della ricerca artistica contemporanea, mettendosi inoltre a disposizione come spazio multifunzionale. Avrà come obiettivo prevalente quello di diventare una vera e propria dimora per l’arte in tutte le sue forme e declinazioni. Coerentemente ci siamo posti come obiettivo primario quello di porre in essere una programmazione regolare e ben ponderata che offra una visione sperimentale delle proposte artistiche, sostenuta da una progettazione curatoriale e critica affidata a storici dell’arte e specialisti della materia che si alterneranno periodicamente, scelta fatta con lo scopo di apportare continua linfa vitale al progetto.

Galerie Vera Munro was founded in Hamburg in 1977 and works with a range of diverse artists who are active in different media such as painting, drawing, installation, sculpture, photography and video. The gallery is the primary representative of both emerging and established contemporary artists, all of whom have done their first shows in Hamburg and have later been exhibited and collected by museums and institutions worldwide. The gallery is also known for its thematic group shows, often confronting classical artists such as Gerhard Richter, Donald Judd, Blinky Palermo etc. with mid-career and youngest artists. Most of the time these shows are accompanied by catalogues. In May 2020, the gallery opened an exhibition with Rosemarie Trockel, which is the very first project of the recently established Nick and Vera Munro Foundation. Part of this foundation project is a publication with texts by Yilmaz Dziewior (Museum Ludwig, Köln) and Brigid Doherty (Princeton University, USA). The Nick and Vera Munro foundation has set itself the task to document artistic attitudes in the visual arts, which deliberately position themselves against the superficial trend. With a clear, uncompromising vision, the foundation seeks to focus on permanently relevant works. The exhibition includes a publication on an art-historical topic which has not yet been completed in a comprehensive form. Afterwards the exhibited work is donated to a museum. The combination of exhibition and publication will particularly refer to midterm artists, who have already achieved an art-historical importance and are therefore inspiring and orientating for the younger generation of artists. The Nick and Vera Munro Foundation plans to host such a project once a year.
